Music of Hungars Cure

Music is an important part of our worship, parish life, and ministry in Hungars Cure Parish. Whether it be through participating in congregational singing, joining our combined Hungars Cure Choir, or simply attending a concert in our beautiful churches, there is opportunity for you to share in ministry with us through music.

Our congregational singing is robust, and our music is drawn primarily from The Hymnal 1982. It is often said that those who sing pray twice. We invite you to sing and pray with us!

Our combined Hungars Cure Choir is a source of unity and fellowship between parishioners of both Christ Church and Hungars Church, as well as other communities from the Eastern Shore. Our choral repertoire, though varied, is rooted in the Anglican choral tradition, and includes music from 12th century Gregorian chant to music of living composers and everything in between.

For more information, contact our Director of Music & Organist at hungarscuremusic@gmail.com

The Hungars Church Music Ministry annually hosts a series of concerts on Sundays at 4:00 PM in our beautiful, historic church. These concerts are widely attended not just by parishioners, but by many others from all over the Eastern Shore and beyond. Our concerts include programs by visiting choirs, organ and piano recitals, chamber music, orchestra concerts, and much more. All programs are free and open to the public.

If you are interested in helping with these efforts, or donating toward the cause, please contact music ministry chair Croxton Gordon at croxgordon@gmail.com, or our Director of Music & Organist Eric Dolch at hungarscuremusic@gmail.com.
